How do I get to Wisconsin in the shortest way possible?
Q. I am 13 and In love and want to get to Wisconsin in the shortest way possible. I don't care if its walking or flying or anything. I can get a job with my friend and get money for it. Oh yeah and I want to get from Sedro Woolley, Washington to Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin.
Asked by Zaners - Thu Nov 11 20:26:22 2010 - Other - United States - 1 Answers - Comments
A. The nearest Greyhound station is in Mount Vernon; from there you could get a bus to Seattle (and then get a flight), or a whole chain of buses that would eventually get you to Fond du Lac. The bus would take you 2 days and a little over 3 hours, and cost about $184 (web fare). A plane from Seattle to Appleton WI (near Fond du Lac) would cost about $550 (assuming you went Dec 13-28 just for exploratory purposes), and you'd need to add in buses from Mount Vernon to Seattle and Appleton to Fond du Lac. But either way, you're going to need parental permission to travel.

Anyone have ideas for making a trip to Wisconsin Dells over Christmas memorable?
Q. I have 5 kids ages 8-15. We are planning on staying at the Wilderness Resort in Wisconsin Dells. We would like to spend some time outside the resort too. Does anyone know of anything going on at the Dells on the dates we will be there? We will be there Dec 23-27th. We would love to go to a Christmas Eve Candlelight Service. Anyone know of any? Any help would be great Thanks!
Asked by TinaW - Thu Nov 8 16:23:39 2007 - Other - United States - 5 Answers - Comments
A. Across the street from the Wilderness Resort is the Boadway Dinner Theater which has a excellent Christmas Show. Bethany Lutheran Church (ELCA) is located at 620 Broadway, just east of the downtown business district. It usually has a 10:00 pm candlelight service. Visitors are invited and most welcome. It is about a 10 minute drive (4 miles) from the resort.

Do you need a contractors license in Wisconsin to build residential homes?
Q. I am wondering if you need a contractors license in wisconsin to build residential homes, and if so how do you obtain one and what are the requirements.
Asked by gormana99 - Sat Jul 8 21:50:52 2006 - Maintenance & Repairs - 5 Answers - Comments
A. Yes, you need a Dwelling Contractor Financial Responsibility Certification, and maybe more depending on your county. The Dept of Commerce has more details. Hope these links work. Just be aware that the current market is extremely soft. I know of small builders in SE WI that have been waiting for spec homes to sell for over 9 months; in the past they would have been sold in less than a month. Be prepared to lose a bucket load of money, and be aware of the lien laws. If you cannot honor your trade contractor's invoices, according to WI law, they (we) have the legal right to put a lien on the house. It might look like a fantastic opportunity, but it's an awful time to get your feet wet.

Q. Im from wisconsin and i really want it to snow. I was just wondering when it usually starts snowing.

A. Being that we are in Wisconsin I had to answer this one. It really can start snowing here anytime from Thanksgiving on. I still remember in the early 90's having Thanksgiving snowed in where many family members had a tough time making it and we had like 2 ft of snow. It been very tough here the last 10-15 years with minimal snow. To the point that ski resorts have had a tough time surviving. The last 2 years have almost been record snows so this year could see heavy snow again. Typically it doesn't snow until December and sometimes not much until January. This year is anyones guess. All you need is cold weather and rain and we get snow. The Faucet Expert

A. The last time I heard, it was still an illegal body-mod procedure, since it was giving someone third-degree burns. Sometimes by word of mouth or at tat conventions, you can hear about someone who does it, but people are usually pretty reluctant to give out names since it's still stigmata'd as something 'taboo' to American society. I personally, think it's kind of neat, but I haven't heard of anyone stateside that does it and advertises it. Usually, parlors can't get their health certs if they do that procedure. Good luck hunting, tho! I hope you get to do what you want! And to the girl below me: I'm from the midwest. Every tat place out here shuns that procedure and the aforementioned one, cutting of tissue. It's considered an operative… [cont.]

Q. Nowhere around my area, (Wisconsin Dells), can I find a purebred chihuahua... I've seen many adorable ones on the internet, but from all the horror stories I read, I don't think I would ever take the chance of getting a sick dog. If anyone would be able to help me, it'd be greatly appreciated! :) Thanks.

A. If none of the above solutions work, check out the local paper, Wisconsin Dells Events. They frequently have a number of dog and pet listings. You can also view these online. Here's the link to the exact section: Here's a listing that was posted just recently: "Chihuahuas: 2 Tiny lovable Apartment Size Puppies, Shots & Guaranteed, Delivery Possible, $400 Each." They list a phone number, but you will have to check the paper's listing for that. I hope this helps!

A. Because Democrats refuse to do their duty and literally now everyone can see that. They are cowardly and are running away because they have no chance. The democrats think moping in another state about all this will make the problem go away when this union mess is now growing across the country because of them. When the police just find even 1 of the 14 democrats, they will be sent back to do their job that they are delaying, vote.

If my ex has 3 wisconsin warrants and moves to texas, can he effectively get away from them?
Q. My ex has 3 warrants for his arrest here in wisconsin. One for child support, for over $2k, and another 2 are simply capias warrants, meaning if he were to pay them they would go away right? He moved to Texas a week before they were all filed with the court. Does that mean he is untouchable in texas, or can wisconsin warrants be served/fulfilled through their law enforcement? Just curious how that works.

A. If Wisconsin is willing to extradite him from Texas, he cannot escape them from any state he enters and can be arrested by any law enforcement agency anywhere in the US.
